NintendoDomination’s, Tilmen, has captured some new, off-screen footage of Yoshi’s New Island on the Gamescom show floor.
The more than five minutes of gameplay focuses on World 1 of the game, but showcases a number of game mechanics including the use of baby yoshi eggs, and the utilization of the 3DS gyroscope to scout ahead in the level, and potentially discover secret areas.
Yoshi’s New Island is a sequel to the classic Super Mario World 2: Yoshi’s Island which was released back in 1995, as well as Yoshi’s Island DS which released in 2006.
Yoshi’s New Island is set for release on the Nintendo 3DS in 2014.
