During a San Diego Comic Con panel, developer Visceral Games has reported that Battlefield Hardline‘s single-player campaign will be focusing on a cop named Nick, who’s trying to clear his name after being framed during a drug-bust gone wrong.
Nick must go undercover and collaborate with the criminal underground, in what creative director Ian Milham calls a “desert, Breaking Bad meth country.” As such, Hardline will showcase both sides of the cops-versus-robbers theme.
The campaign’s main stars are Eugene Byrd (Bones, 8 Mile) and Kelly Hu (X2, the Scorpion King), while Sons of Anarchy actor Benito Martinez and The Shield’s Mark Rolston will also be a part of.
With regards to Hardline‘s delay into 2015, Milham stated that it was “a real blessing, because over time, games are living longer and you only get one chance to come out.”
