Foxtel has announced it plans to bring the online subscription service, Foxtel Play to Xbox One. Foxtel and Xbox have had a strong presence within Australia’s streaming entertainment market on the Xbox 360, which has so far seen over 20 million hours of Foxtel Play viewed on the console to date.
When Foxtel Play releases on Xbox One within the coming months, the app will be a free download from the Xbox marketplace. Foxtel Play allows subscribers to pay by the month and as they go, with no lock-in contract or installation costs, subscribers can stop and start their subscription month-to-month. In addition to Foxtel Play subscribers can to resister their subscription to two additional devices, alongside their primary device.

With Foxtel Play’s upcoming Xbox One arrival, the subscription service is will now be available on both current generation consoles, as the service released on PlayStation 4 earlier this year.
