You read that correctly; dates as in plural. The release dates for the highly anticipated MMO Elder Scrolls Online have been announced.
The first entry in the Elder Scrolls series to feature multiplayer components will release first for both the PC and Mac on April 4, 2014, which happens to have a date of 4/4/14.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One iterations will follow this release date two months later on June 4, 2014.
In light of the announcement, Bethesda Softworks has also released a new gameplay trailer for Elder Scrolls Online titled “War in Cyrodiil,” which features a massive battle where hundreds of players combat against each other in a battle to claim the Ruby Throne. It’s quite impressive.
If you are still wishing to get into the game’s beta, which has been going on for about a year, Elder Scrolls Online director Matt Firor said there is still hope in a special message for the game’s release date. Firor said ”We hope that just about every one of you who have signed up for beta will get an invitation to play sometime between now and the weeks before launch.”
As far as the console betas are concerned, Sony originally announced PlayStation 4 owners will receive early access to the beta at E3 this past year. There has still been no word on when that will be for the PlayStation 4 nor Xbox One, however, so the sooner you sign up for the console beta, the better.
