The developers of DmC (Ninja Theory) have warned consumers of many fake reviews being released throughout the internet of their upcoming Devil May Cry title.
The Official Ninja Theory Twitter page earlier released a message stating ,”Happy that no genuine review has been under 89% so far”. This message was later clarified, acknowledging they were referring to “some reviews where the writer hasn’t received review code and not even played the game”.
Ever since the original reveal of the Dante re-design, DmC hasn’t been in many Devil May Cry fans good books. The appearance change of Dante ruffled many feathers, maybe in some cases it was enough for fans to fake reviews of the game before playing the finished product.
There were also strong rumours flying around of a possible leaked version of the game, however these rumours were shot down by Ninja Theory co-founder Tameem Antoniades. “Refuting misinformation on DmC could be a full-time job. Yes leak is BS.” he further stated, “Dear followers. Online reviews shall arrive closer to release. Online reviews that appear now have not had review code. Don’t be duped.”
With many fake reviews of Ninja Theory’s latest swirling around the internet, make sure to double check that the review you’re reading has been confirmed, before judging if the title is worthy of purchase.
