Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #26
The name may be Spider-Man No More, but surely this is the start of something new. Spider-Man and Spider Woman are now teaming up to take the fight to those who made them that way. And they aren’t the only ones either, the team of Cloak and Dagger seems to have the same goal in mind. Miles is now a fully established hero, everyone is put where they need to be and now this show is ready to start.
This was a great introduction to Bombshell. Her character has a lot of potential in this book knowing how she came to be and what side she is on. When Bendis said the world will now be exposed to a number of new young heroes, he really meant that and you can see the direction he is steering this book in. Thanks to Miles finally awakening to see what he has to do, we are able to move back into the real world where loose ends need to be tied. He’s now stretching his legs again and you can see that he’s not up to par. Subtle differences in his actions which make you enjoy that gap in time from when he gave up being Spider-Man.
Again I like this new direction because to an extent we are being taken back to old school heroics. Whether they are on the hunt matters little, but there is now that fight for the greater good. We have the heroes, we have those in-between, and now we have an established villain who looks to be able to give them a run for their money. Everything to get this back on track in terms of a Spider-Man story is there and again this is one book you must be reading from the Ultimate line if you are a Spidey fan.
