DrinkBox Studios has announced their critically acclaimed action-platformer, Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack, will be release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $7.99/€6.99/£5.49 for new purchasers of the game. While those who own the PlayStation Vita version can upgrade their purchase onto PlayStation 3 for $3.99/€2.99/£2.39, which will also include a selection of Avatars, Themes and the Original Soundtrack.
Mutant Blobs Attack has players taking the role of a Blob-like alien who has broken out of a science lab, the creature is able to eat items that come close to its size, slowly using them to increase its own size. The Blob itself begins as the size of a tennis ball, but slowly grows, before reaching massive proportions. The new console release will feature Trophies and Achievement support.
“We’ve often been asked when we would bring Mutant Blobs Attack to new platforms and why we gave such a long and difficult title to what is otherwise an amazing game,” said Ryan MacLean, Co-Founder of DrinkBox Studios. “We’re excited to now offer the game to a whole new group of gamers and we’re confident Mutant Blobs Attack will become their favorite gelatinous game as well. As for the title, we feel a short name would have been too easy.”
Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack will launch for PlayStation 3 in North America today, while Europe will see the release tomorrow on June 18. Xbox 360 owners will be able to purchase Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack on June 18, no matter what region they reside.
