It seems like our previous guess on Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD’s coming to consoles was indeed right, as Ubisoft has officially announced a remastered version of last year’s PlayStation Vita exclusive, Assassin’s Creed: Liberation, called Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD.
Liberation HD offers “a complete graphical overhaul, re-mastered music and sound effects, a revamped gameplay experience, and new missions that dive deeper into Aveline’s story.”
The new Assassin’s Creed still tells the same story as its Vita counterpart, though several optional cutscenes have been included in the game, in order for the story to make more sense. The title is in development at Ubisoft Sofia, the same developer who made the original Liberation.
Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD will be a digital-only title, coming in 2014, via PSN, XBLA, and PC. Get your first glimpse at Liberation on consoles via its first trailer below.
