Electronic media retail chain Blockbuster has announced this afternoon it will not be fulfilling PlayStation 4 and Xbox One pre-orders after the announcement that it has re-entered administration today.
The company revealed it would not be able to fulfil pre-orders on its Twitter profile earlier this afternoon and said:
If you pre-ordered a PS4 or Xbox One from a Blockbuster retail store then the company advises you to return to the store your pre-ordered from to get your compensation. If you went through the process online then you’ll have to contact Blockbuster’s head office directly.
The company first found itself in deep water in January after poor sales led to it being purchased by Gordon Brothers Europe. Since the company has continued to under perform, it has been forced to find a new buyer elsewhere.
